Jordi Costa

Jordi Costa is Vice President Europe Softseed Crush Value Chain for Bunge since 2019. He is responsible for all activities within the value chain, from farmer interaction to processing, risk management and sales to retail, B2B and biofuel customers. In this role, Jordi is the leader of the activities of Bunge in Central and East Europe.

Prior to that, Jordi was the Managing Director of Bunge Ocean Freight overseeing the company’s agricultural and third-party bulk and liquid commodity flows. He was also the head of Bunge Global Logistics and the leader of Bunge’s Global Crushing activities.

Mr. Costa has also been Board member of the EU vegetable oil and protein meal industry association (FEDIOL) since 2011 and he is currently the President of FEDIOL and President of the European Primary Food Processors Association (PFP).

Jordi began his career at Bunge in 1999 as Mediterranean Commercial Director.

In 2006, he was named General Manager of Bunge Iberica and the South Europe region. From 2010 to 2017, he was Bunge’s Agribusiness Vice-President for the EMEA region. During his career, he has been based in Italy, Brazil, Spain and Switzerland. Before that he worked for the André & Cie Group at Trascatalana de Comercio (Spain) and Saroc SpA (Italy).

Jordi holds an engineering degree as “Ingeniero de Caminos, Canales y Puertos” from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain) and an Executive MBA from IMD in Lausanne (Switzerland).
