Pau Aymerich researcher and nutritionist at Vall Companys Group specialized in swine and poultry. His higher education started at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, accomplishing a degree in Agricultural Engineering. Subsequently, he moved to the Netherlands to start a MSc in Animal Science at Wageningen University & Research specializing in Animal Nutrition. He completed the master degree with a thesis focused on modelling digestion kinetics of growing pigs. Besides, he obtained a minor in Animal Production Systems focusing on sustainability of animal production systems. Finally, he did his PhD in a joint project between Vall Companys Group and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona that resulted in the PhD thesis “Semi-precision feeding of non-castrated grow-finishing pigs”. His main interests are animal nutritional requirements, ingredient evaluation, sustainability, and the modelization of the biological processes and growth in pigs.
